Message from the Owner, Joanne Lovejoy…
After owning Dance studios and teaching in San Diego for the last 41 years, I am sorry to say this chapter of my Dance life has sadly come to an end. I will no longer be owning and operating a dance studio. The last 41 years have been incredible!
I have been able to pass on my passion of Dance to generations of students. I have loved each and every moment of it! I’ve seen a child’s face light up once they have mastered a skill, a Senior enjoying themselves and socializing, students blossom on stage during their recital performance and proud parents that have cheered them on.
I want to say thank you to all my incredible Teachers and Staff through the years that have given their all to a job they loved!
I want to say thank you to all the Parents that have spent many hours driving, waiting, and supporting their children and my Dance studio.. I am extremely grateful!I have enjoyed reaching out to the community of San Diego, that I love, with shows for all ages and circumstances. I loved taking shows to senior centers and seeing the elderly smile and share their memories of their past. The Del Mar Fair Performances were memorable and so much fun! I will miss our get-togethers at the Corvette Diner, our Metro Slumber Parties, our Competition Pool parties, our Studio Showcase, and our big end of the year Christmas event with Santa’s arrival. I will miss them all!
I have tried to give all my students many skills and opportunities to grow through Dance. I believe I was successful in that regard and am proud of all my students, teachers, and staff that worked so hard to accomplish this mission and goal of mine in the name of Metro Dance. I am so blessed!!
It’s sad to say goodbye to Metro Dance but know that I love each and every one of you! Please stay safe and God bless you!
P.S: After the closure, I will be subbing, teaching a few classes and private lessons that I enjoy. If interested, you can reach out to me at firstname.lastname@example.org)
